Federal
Court in North Dakota Court Stops EPA Overreach

Washington, DC (August
27, 2015)
–Small business owners are pleased to hear that a federal judge
in North Dakota has granted a preliminary injunction against the Environmental
Protection Agency and Army Corps of Engineers recent waters of the United
States regulation. The National Federation of Independent Business has sued the
federal government to stop enforcement of the rule.

“A federal court threw a giant wrench into the EPA and Army
Corps’ plan to radically expand their power,” said Dan Danner, CEO of the NFIB.
“The agencies ignored the impact of their actions on small business and ignored
prior Supreme Court decisions. Any small business owner that has water running
over their land is breathing a sigh of relief today.”
