NFIB Endorses Beauprez for Governor

Date: August 20, 2014

DENVER, Colo., August 20, 2014—Colorado’s voice of small business today endorsed Bob Beauprez for governor, calling his experience and record the right tonic for what ails the small-business owners of the state who employ half of all private-enterprise workers and generate almost every new job.
“There was no gray area of doubt in our endorsement for governor,” said Tony Gagliardi, Colorado state director for the National Federation of Independent Business, America’s largest and leading small-business association. “Bob Beauprez is a known — and most importantly, a dependable – friend of small business. He was a Guardian of Small Business winner while in Congress, a cattle and dairy operator, and owner of community banks. That breadth of experience is precisely what is needed right now to calm the small-business jitters about the energy, legal and regulatory direction our state is headed, a direction that is not helping with job-creation because of the national headlines we sometimes earn.”
Gagliardi added that Beauprez’ call for instituting new policies that encourage energy development and keep 100,000 jobs in Colorado will be a big boost for the state’s economy.
The endorsement of Beauprez was made by NFIB’s SAFE (Save America’s Free Enterprise) Trust, the association’s political action committee, and was announced this morning at Univair Aircraft in Aurora. NFIB has more than 350,000 members nationwide, including more than 7,000 in Colorado.
