DENVER, Colo., Dec. 28, 2015—Results of poll released today by their leading association show Colorado small-business owners in no mood for budget hijinks and letting their employees have access to their private thoughts about them.
“Six in 10 of our members see a proposal to switch the provider fee paid by hospitals from the state budget to an enterprise fund for what it truly is: A way around TABOR, and that doesn’t set well with them,” said Tony Gagliardi, Colorado state director for the National Federation of Independent Business. “By almost the same percentages, NFIB-member Colorado small-business owners also oppose giving employees the right to examine their personnel files upon request. This goes to the heart of privacy.”
Every year the National Federation of Independent Business, America’s largest and leading small-business association, polls its members on state and national issues vital to their ability to own, operate and grow their enterprises. Results from the polls center NFIB’s lobbying positions in Washington, D.C. and in Denver. NFIB has 350,000 dues-paying members nationwide, including 7,000 in Colorado.
