Big Endorsement for Gardner for Senate

Date: May 28, 2014

DENVER, Colo., May 28, 2014—U.S. Rep. Cory Gardner today received an important endorsement in his bid to unseat U.S. Sen. Mark Udall, when the association representing America’s biggest job-creators announced its support of the Eastern Plains leader.
The endorsement of Gardner was made by Save America’s Free Enterprise Trust, the political action committee of the National Federation of Independent, America’s Voice of Small Business. It was based on positions regarding key small-business issues so far in this Congress, such as health care, taxes, and labor and regulations.
At a campaign event in Denver this morning, Tony Gagliardi, Colorado state director for the National Federation of Independent Business, said of Gardner, “He has been a solid, pro-small-business vote for Main Street from his days in the state Legislature to his time in Congress. Cory Gardner is one of the most trustworthy members of Congress for small business in the nation. He would be a welcome change to the incumbent.”
“Coming from a small business family, he knows first-hand the challenges our members face and has demonstrated year after year that he will stand up for hard working job creators.” said Lisa Goeas, vice president of Political and Grassroots for NFIB.  “Cory Gardner has a 100 percent lifetime NFIB voting record in Congress.  He supports small business, so we are proud to support Gardner in his campaign for the U.S. Senate.”
NFIB has more than 350,000 members nationwide, including more than 7,000 in Colorado. This morning’s event was held at Rex Oil in Denver.
