The SSBCI was established by the Small Business Jobs Act of 2010, to support state lending programs for small business. Meet The New NFIB/Ohio Leadership Council Chairman
Fowler Products was founded in Crestline, Ohio in 1976 by R. Phillip Fowler. Fowler was initially a foreman for Anchor Swan in Bucyrus and decided to start his own operation doing extrusions. Along with his brother-n-law, father, and long-time military friend, Fowler Products began production. Today the operation is solely owned by Mark Fowler, the second generation business owner.

Ohio's Minimum Wage Rises To $7.85
The Constitutional Amendment passed by Ohio voters in November 2006 states that Ohio's minimum wage shall increase on January 1 of each year by the rate of inflation. The state minimum wage is tied to the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for urban wage earners and clerical workers for the 12-month period prior to September.

State of Ohio Returning Tax Overpayments to Businesses
The Ohio Department of Taxation (ODT) is changing policy, procedures and systems to ensure that business taxpayers get refunds back when they overpay. While current Ohio law requires businesses to request a refund, it does not obligate the state to notify the taxpayer that a refund is available. In the past, if potential refunds go unclaimed the practice has been for the state to not notify the business and simply keep the money. Gov. Kasich and Commissioner Joe Testa are changing this anti-business policy so job creators are automatically notified of any business tax overpayments.
