As an active NFIB member, you know how important it is for lawmakers to hear the effects of their actions on small business. When they hear how certain policies will affect real folks "back home" they better understand the consequences of their actions. That is why NFIB has created the Adopt-a-Lawmaker program. And, we'd like you to join!

Through the Adopt-a-Lawmaker program, you may adopt a specific lawmaker at the state level. You do not have to know the lawmaker personally. NFIB will provide the necessary information to make the acquaintance; then, you will keep your lawmaker informed about critical small business issues that are either being considered or that should be considered.

As an NFIB member, you're part of a grassroots campaign. And each person that gets involved makes all small-business owners stronger, furthering the cause of free enterprise in America.

Each NFIB member will receive a certificate of their lawmaker adoption suitable for framing. They will also receive a letter and certificate to send to their lawmaker, notifying the lawmaker of his or her adoption.
