Candace Daly was named NFIB/Utah state director in January 2006, and brought 16 years of experience to the job.

Daly gained knowledge and skill while working with the political divisions of several associations, including the Utah Health Underwriters Association and Consumer Data Information Association. She has been involved in the political arena for many years as the founder and president of CJD & Associates, a Utah-based governmental affairs company. Daly has expertise in not only small-business issues but a variety of issues ranging from health care, energy, revenue, taxation and transportation.

"Joining NFIB is the opportunity of a lifetime, since, as the voice of small business, we represent the heart of the nation," said Daly. "We are the representative group for the people who employ the majority of working Americans and generate almost all net new jobs, two more distinctions that separate us from big business and large corporations. Health care, taxes and regulations do not affect big corporations the way they affect small business, and I look forward to the challenge of providing Main Street with the same tools in dealing with those issues that are given to giant corporations."
