DOR Releases Video Warning about Tax Relief Companies 

The old rule "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't true," certainly applies to companies that claim they can dispose of tax liabilities for pennies on the dollar. DOR strongly urges taxpayers who receive notices and assessments for unpaid taxes to pick up the phone and call DOR rather than pay for a service that in all likelihood will take taxpayers' money and then not deliver the relief that is promised.
