Barack Obama is slowly naming a Cabinet. This week and next, we offer some suggestions:
STOCKING THE CABINET
(1 of 5)
For DHS, although
the thought scares,
Obama should appoint
William Ayres.
For HUD he should
dangle
Leadership to
Rangel 1
On subsidized rents,
no one compares.
An alternative to
head up HUD –
A developer whose
name is now mud.
He's a generous guy –
Rezko helped Barack buy
A new house
(just because he's a bud).
Michael Bloomberg's
the man, you can bet,
To head up Treasury
– then, no sweat –
He'd be able, we know,
To fork over some dough
And personally
pay off our debt.
Or for Treasury,
one other guy –
William Jefferson.
Who could deny
That he'd save the nation
From rampant inflation?
He knows how to
freeze the money supply.
1 Cong. Charlie Rangel (D, NY) had three rent-controlled properties (only one is legal).
STOCKING THE CABINET (2 of 5)
The Department
of Education
Could be headed,
with dedication,
By Jeremiah Wright.
He'll diss anything "white"
And meet it with
stern condemnation.
For Energy,
pick Ted Kennedy
Who's for renewable
energy.
Big wind farms will abound –
But not near his compound –
"Not In My Back Yard
– nowhere near me."
For Transportation,
just take a stand
And appoint a man
to take command
Of how we move about.
We'd be "safer," no doubt,
When Nader decrees
autos are banned.
An AG who'd be sure
not to fail,
Whose experience tells
quite a tale,
Who has been
on both sides
Of the legal divides –
Eliot Spitzer
(who should be in jail).
STOCKING THE CABINET (3 of 5)
A physician to run HHS
Has a résumé
bound to impress.
Jack Kevorkian would
Show at one thing he's good –
He knows how to
alleviate stress.
To reflect his ideas
on Defense,
Obama should avoid
all pretense
And name Cindy Sheehan.
With her cut-and-run plan,
Our surrender
would quickly commence.
And for the
Secretary of State,
Someone with skills
to negotiate –
Like the Waco shootout,
Or getting Elian out –
Janet Reno would be
oh so great.
Labor Secretary
– what the heck –
Pick a union thug
who's for Card Check.
Secret ballots be damned,
Let the workers
be scammed –
John Sweeney would
cause a business wreck.
LAUERsy INTERVIEW
Matt's opening question,
while cooing,
Was one that he
must now be ruing.
With RFK's namesake son
His Q&A was begun:
"Can I first ask you
... how's your dad doing?"
A RICH CHOICE FOR AG
Eric Holder is named
as AG –
He's the guy who helped
Marc Rich stay free
With a pardon by Bill.
That should give you a chill ...
How many felons
will he let flee?
