Messages from the Chief Executive or the other chamber may be received at any time except when a question is being put, roll is being called, or a report of a conference committee is being received.

Hearing Schedules

During the legislative session bills and resolutions are referred to committees. The committees hold public hearings on legislation and examine each item thoroughly before recommending to the General Assembly the action it should take on each bill or resolution. A schedule of upcoming hearings is released weekly, with addenda released as necessary.
