ImarcsGroup is one of those companies that works behind the scenes. As a creator of database-driven Web sites that include customer loyalty and communications programs, ImarcsGroup makes its clients look good. The business has worked with diverse clients such as the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and a private human resources company. In each case, ImarcsGroup creates a Web site program specifically to meet an organization’s or business' needs.
On being a small-business owner: Jeff Minder doesn't shy away from responsibility. In fact, that’s what he loves about entrepreneurship. "The buck stops here and that allows me to put all of my skills and energies to work in the most aggressive and rapid manner possible," says Minder. "Every decision I make can create failure or reward." The red tape doesn't exist at small businesses either. “I get to spend more time implementing my ideas as opposed to convincing others to allow me to implement."
On technology: "As a software developer company, technology is the key to our entire business model," says Minder. "Helping other businesses effectively use technology in a way that solves problems AND creates a recognizable return on their investment is the reason we are in business."
Managing their growth is the biggest challenge, says Minder. When new technology is discussed, the company must decide if it's worth the risk to fix something that isn't broken.
"We overcome this challenge by implementing staged releases of our software and experimenting with new technology within our development environment."
