BATON ROUGE, La. -- The National Federation of Independent Business, Louisiana's leading small business group, has endorsed Major Thibaut in the 18th District House race. The district is comprised of Pointe Coupee, West Baton Rouge and West Feliciana parishes.
The endorsement was given out by the NFIB/Louisiana SAFE (Save America's Free Enterprise) Trust, which is comprised exclusively of NFIB members.
"Major Thibaut owns his own business, so he understands the challenges facing Louisiana's entrepreneurs and small, family-run businesses," said Renee Baker, state director of NFIB/Louisiana. "He'll do everything he can to foster free enterprise in Louisiana and help small business owners grow and create jobs."
NFIB's endorsement is important to Thibaut's campaign. Small business owners and their employees vote in large numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends and family members to go to the polls.
