BATON ROUGE, La. -- The National Federation of Independent Business, Louisiana's leading small business group, has endorsed Conrad Appel in the 9th District Senate race. The district covers part of Jefferson Parish.
The endorsement was given out by the NFIB/Louisiana SAFE (Save America's Free Enterprise) Trust, which is comprised exclusively of NFIB members.
"Conrad Appel is a small business owner, so he understands the challenges facing Louisiana's entrepreneurs and small, family-run businesses," said Renee Baker, state director of NFIB/Louisiana. "Conrad Appel is committed to fostering free enterprise in Louisiana and helping NFIB members and other small business owners continue to grow and create jobs."
NFIB's endorsement is important to Appel's campaign. Small business owners and their employees vote in large numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends and family members to go to the polls.
