JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder has issued a resolution recognizing the National Federation of Independent Business' efforts on behalf of Missouri's small business owners. NFIB is Missouri's leading small business association, with about 9,200 members statewide.
In his resolution, Lt. Gov. Kinder said, "Respected organizations such as the National Federation of Independent Business and others provide invaluable assistance to Missouri's businesses and the General Assembly."
Kinder said he "recognizes the valuable services provided by the NFIB and our business community" and that he "salutes the extraordinary efforts by this organization."
"This is truly an honor," NFIB/Missouri State Director Brad Jones said. "NFIB is the voice of small business in Missouri, and we're pleased that Lieutenant Governor Kinder and other elected officials are listening."
The text of Lt. Gov. Kinder's resolution follows:
Resolution in Support of Missouri Business
Whereas, the well being of Missouri's economy is a top priority of the state government;
Whereas, Missouri's businesses and economy of our state depend upon sound judgment and input from Missouri's business community; and
Whereas, respected organizations such as the National Federation of Independent Businesses and others provide invaluable assistance to Missouri's businesses and the General Assembly.
Whereas, the Lt. Governor of the state of Missouri recognizes these contributions and wants them to be noticed;
Whereas, the Lt. Governor hereby officially recognizes the valuable services provided by the NFIB and our business community.
Now, therefore, be it resolved, Peter D. Kinder, the duly elected Lt. Governor of the state of Missouri, salutes the extraordinary efforts by this organization in regards to Missouri's business community.
Be it further resolved that the office of the Lt. Governor Peter D. Kinder, encourages other Missourians in joining him to show our gratitude to Missouri's business community.
Be it further resolved that the office of the Lt. Governor continue to be a strong advocate for Missouri's business community, as well as the official chairman of the Missouri Tourism Commission, and
Be it further resolved that Peter D. Kinder the duly elected Lt. Governor of the State of Missouri continue his systemic relationship between Missouri's business community and the office of the Lt. Governor.
