Eight state legislators recognized for their support of small business
NFIB stands alone among most associations because its small business owner members set its official policy positions when they vote the NFIB Member Ballot. Mailed, e-mailed and available online several times a year, the state Member Ballot lets NFIB members speak out on healthcare, tax relief, lawsuit abuse, liability concerns and other critical issues to small business.
All year long, NFIB's New York staff takes the Member Ballot results to the state Capitol, urging legislative action on the challenges that small business owners face. Each time a critical vote comes before lawmakers, NFIB lets the Legislature know that the NFIB "Key Vote" will be part of the end-of-the-year voting record.
This year, eight members of the New York Legislature earned our praise and thanks for their outstanding voting records. As stalwart supporters throughout the legislative session on key votes affecting your business, these members distinguished themselves above and beyond all others as NFIB Guardians of Small Business.
