Jerguson accepts grassroots support from Georgia's leading small business association

ATLANTA -- The National Federation of Independent Business, Georgia's leading small business association, has endorsed Rep. Sean Jerguson for House District 22 in the July 15 primary election.

"Representative Jerguson has been a tremendous supporter of Georgia's small business community," said David Raynor, state director of NFIB/Georgia. "He has stood on the side of small business on issues ranging from supporting market-driven health insurance reforms to using tax credits to spur job growth in less developed parts of the state."

Rep. Jerguson has earned an 88 percent NFIB/Georgia voting record for 2007-08 for supporting small business on key legislative issues.

Rep. Jerguson, whose district comprises part of Cherokee County, is secretary of the House Children and Youth Committee and a member of the Game, Fish and Parks, Health and Human Services and Regulated Industries committees.

"Sean Jerguson understands the crucial role small business plays in building and expanding Georgia's economy," Raynor said. "The National Federation of Independent Business will do everything it can to help Representative Jerguson win reelection." Small business owners and their employees vote in large numbers and often recruit friends, family members and acquaintances to vote as well.

"I am honored to receive NFIB's endorsement," Rep. Jerguson said. "I am proud of what we've accomplished for Georgia's small businesses, and I promise I will continue to support them in the future."
