Divided We Fail Hitting the Road
06/ 03/ 2008

As the 2008 election cycle kicks into high gear, the Divided We Fail campaign is reminding lawmakers at the national and state levels that the key to healthcare reform is a partnership focused on ending political gridlock and a commitment to change.

NFIB joined Divided We Fail last year because the national effort is to engage the American people, elected officials and the business community to find broad-based, bipartisan solutions to one of the most compelling domestic issues facing the nation--healthcare. The partnership encompasses traditional grassroots work, advertising and online activities to engage the public, businesses and elected officials in the debate.

"No discussion of healthcare should take place without small business at the table," says NFIB President and CEO Todd Stottlemyer, discussing the role of small business in Divided We Fail. "We believe this coalition will spur our nation's political leaders to start working together to take on the threats to America's healthcare and our overall economic competitiveness."

Divided We Fail volunteers and activists are engaging elected officials and campaigns across the nation to share the Divided We Fail message and to highlight the need for action on healthcare reform. To learn more about Divided We Fail events in your community, visit www.dividedwefail.org.
