COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The National Federation of Independent Business/Ohio today announced the election of Jerry James, owner of James Engineering Inc. in Marietta as the vice chair of the group's Area Action Council in Marietta. James has been a longtime member of NFIB and an active member of the local AAC. In his new position, James will help to organize and facilitate the quarterly Marietta AAC meetings that are part of a network of similar NFIB-sponsored councils across Ohio. The councils provide local small business owners with an opportunity to gain information and to discuss issues and policies that affect their business.

"Jerry is a strong advocate for small business issues and a champion of free enterprise," said Vice President/Executive Director of NFIB/Ohio Roger R. Geiger. "We are pleased to announce his new member-leader role within the organization and we are looking forward to continuing to work together to make Ohio a great place to own, operate and grow a business."

"NFIB is one of the foremost groups advocating for small businesses," said James. "I'm pleased to help lead the Marietta AAC as we grow to include more and more business owners here in our community."
