Sen. John McCain is scheduled to keynote the 2008 National Small Business Summit in Washington, D.C. |
The Summit, a biannual event that allows hundreds of small business owners from around the country to meet, share their experiences and solutions with each other and their lawmakers, and listen to key political and policy experts, will take place on Monday, June 9, and Tuesday, June 10, at the Grand Hyatt Washington Hotel in D.C.
Sen. McCain will speak on Tuesday, June 10, at 9:30 a.m., giving attendees an insider's perspective on the exciting and monumental presidential race as well as on his own views on the legislative challenges facing small business owners. Sens. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama have also been invited to speak.
Sen. McCain's keynote speech will cap off an exciting two days of events where small business owners will have the opportunity to listen to top political experts and policymakers including Charlie Cook and Stuart Rothenberg, former White House press secretary and CNN commentator Tony Snow, and numerous U.S. senators. Other speakers include NFIB President and CEO Todd Stottlemyer, former President and CEO of eBay Meg Whitman, and small business owner and NFL Hall of Fame member Roger Staubach.
Heading to D.C. in early June will not only give you a chance to hear Sen. McCain speak about the dynamics of this year's historic presidential race, but also will allow you to network and share stories with your fellow small business owners and top entrepreneurs.
Most importantly, visiting D.C. for the Summit gives you a unique chance to speak directly to your lawmakers.
After the sessions and speeches are over, hundreds of your fellow small business owners will travel to Capitol Hill to talk one-on-one with Congress about the most important legislative issues facing small businesses in America: issues that will have a profound impact on your business and way of life. Healthcare reform will be at the top of this list, as Summit attendees will urge lawmakers to address the number one concern of the small business community and encourage them to craft and pass meaningful legislation once and for all.
There is no better way to be involved and directly impact the political and legislative process than speaking directly with your representative. They want and need to hear what you have to say, and the Summit is the best opportunity to do this and join your fellow small business owners to truly show the power of America's job creators.
Don't miss out on this exclusive opportunity to be involved and speak to your representative or senator, your fellow small business owners, and perhaps even the next president.
