Run for Office

NFIB's political action committee, SAFE Trust, endorses pro-small business candidates in federal elections. The process for endorsement on the federal level differs slightly between incumbent, challenger and open-seat races. Incumbent members of Congress with higher than a 70 percent NFIB voting record on key small-business issues are eligible for endorsement and PAC support. Consideration of open-seat and challenger candidates incorporates a thorough evaluation of all candidates running, which includes interviews with NFIB staff, responses to NFIB's candidate questionnaire, legislative records where applicable, the political environment, input from NFIB members in the state or district and additional information.

If you are running for federal office and are interested in pursuing NFIB's support, contact Sharon Wolff Sussin, national political director, at sharon.wolff@nfib.org or (202) 554-9000.

Many of NFIB's state offices have political action committees, which support candidates on the state level. If you are a candidate for state office and interested in NFIB's support, please visit your state page at www.NFIB.com/State Abbreviation (for example, www.NFIB.com/AL) for contact information.
