NFIB/Texas Legislative Director Lance Lively spoke to a dozen members at a recent luncheon in Canyon Lake about the most recent legislative session and, specifically, the margins tax. Dorothy vonFriewalde, an NFIB/Texas member and owner of Curves of Canyon Lake, poses with Lively at the luncheon. |
Dorothy vonFriewalde, NFIB/Texas member and owner of Curves of Canyon Lake, is a prime example of a member in action. vonFriewalde, contacted the Austin office late last year. She'd been hearing about the new Texas Margins Tax, and she felt that she and her small business neighbors needed to learn more.
Working with Malaise Murphy, member support manager for Texas, vonFriewalde, took the ball and ran with it. She located a venue and began telling small business owners around the area about a luncheon with NFIB/Texas representatives.
Thanks to vonFriewalde, we were able to reach more than a dozen small business owners at a luncheon earlier this month in Canyon Lake and share with them the most recent news about the past legislative session and, specifically, the margins tax.
