On Tuesday, Dec. 18, business and immigration groups asked Federal District Court Judge Neil Wake for a temporary restraining order (TRO) on the Legal Arizona Workers Act. Without the TRO, the new employer sanctions law will take effect Jan. 1, its originally scheduled effective date.
Judge Wake is expected to make an official ruling on the TRO later this week. He will also hold a preliminary injunction hearing on Jan. 16.
