Explaining your legal responsibilities from interviewing to termination
Employment laws affect your business every day, whether you're hiring a new employee or dealing with the excessive absenteeism of another. Ask the wrong question during an interview, and you could end up in court.
To help you stay out of legal hot water, the NFIB Legal Foundation teamed up with Ogletree Deakins—recently named the nation's No. 1 employment litigation firm—for a three-part interactive Web presentation and teleconference covering the essentials of employment law and human resources management from hiring to firing.
One participant commented, "I was able to learn some key things at just the right time. We have a new employee starting, and I will make sure he signs paperwork that indicates he is an 'at will' employee. The presentation was a very good use of my time."
Participation in the webinar was free for NFIB members and employees.
Members can view each presentation at www.NFIB.com/employmentlaws.
