NFIB and Bluegrass Family Health have partnered to provide a discount of at least 5 percent on affordable and flexible choices for small-group health insurance plans designed exclusively for NFIB members with two to 50 employees.

As a regional carrier, with a local office in Nashville, Tenn., Bluegrass Family Health offers health plan options such as traditional HMOs and PPOs, as well as HSA- and HRA-compatible plan designs. Committed to bringing an affordable health solution to small business, Bluegrass Family Health expanded into the Tennessee marketplace, gaining authorization to offer its first group health insurance program to 20 counties within the Nashville and Knoxville areas. Their partnership with NFIB allows small businesses to select a health plan according to their company’s needs.
Accessing the NFIB Select discount*
Licensed health agents: To sell an NFIB Select health plan, agents must be appointed through Bluegrass Family Health. To become appointed, download the producer information sheet located at the bottom of the page, and fax the producer information sheet, a copy of your current Tennessee license and a W-9 to Bluegrass Family Health.
Once appointed, agents will gain access to all Bluegrass Family Health products and the online broker quoting tool showing premiums on Bluegrass Family Health Plans with and without the NFIB discount. For more information about Bluegrass Family Health, call 866-471-8770
NFIB members: Available exclusively to NFIB members, NFIB Select allows businesses with two to 50 employees to offer flexible and affordable group health insurance by selecting a health plan that meets their company’s needs. To access the NFIB Select discount, contact your local health insurance agent and tell them you are interested in receiving a 5 percent discount on your group health insurance through Bluegrass Family Health. If you do not currently have an agent, contact Bluegrass Family Health at 866-471-8770. Members may work with their current health agents to access the 5 percent discount.

Nashville area counties: Cannon, Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Macon, Robertson, Rutherford, Smith, Sumner, Williamson and Wilson
Knoxville area counties: Anderson, Blount, Grainger, Jefferson, Knox, Loudon, Roane, Sevier and Union
