Guide offers tips on navigating costs
Does the thought of your company's travel expenses leave you feeling sick to your stomach? With ever-increasing costs in the travel industry, business owners on the go are always searching for ways to lower their bottom lines. According to Michael MacNair, author of Smooth Landings (Michael MacNair, 2006), handing that task over to a travel-management company is the best way to rope in those expenditures and start saving fast. Although these businesses charge service fees, the benefits of cheaper travel and enhanced productivity are worth the cost, MacNair says. The book is about more than just saving money, though: MacNair also has tips for dealing with the various inevitabilities of business travel, including delays, security issues and poor customer service.
