NFIB filed a brief in support of Los Angeles Asbestos General Order 29, which requires plaintiffs to provide certain information about their claims eight months after the complaint is filed. If the plaintiff does not provide that information, which includes product ID and identification of a witness who can provide product ID, the claim is subject to dismissal.
Status: DECIDED. Amicus brief filed July 20, 2007. Brief filed in support of petition for review in California Supreme Court Jan. 28, 2008. Court denied review in April 2008.
