NFIB Young Entrepreneur Foundation Thanks This Year's Scholarship Participants
05/ 30/ 2007

The Young Entrepreneur Foundation offers an opportunity for individuals, businesses or NFIB-member companies to establish a Follow Your Dream Scholarship, creating a permanent legacy award at the college of their choice. Donations are tax-deductible and provide future entrepreneurs the opportunity to pursue their dreams.

The scholarship may be named for a company or an individual. The sponsor can choose to award the scholarship to a deserving student living in a region of the country or town, or graduating from a specific high school. The amount of the award is based on the sponsor's annual contribution over a five-year period. Annual contribution levels start at $1,000 and go up to $4,000.

This year's Follow Your Dream Legacy Scholarships are:

  • The Kathleen & Richard F. Duffy Young Entrepreneur Award, sponsored by Dan Duffy of Effective Data Inc. and family, Schaumburg, Ill.
  • The NFIB/June Lennon Young Entrepreneur Award, sponsored by A. June Lennon of Martin & Lennon, CPAs, Greenville, S.C.
  • The NFIB/Bill & Kathy Hybl Young Entrepreneur Award, sponsored by Bill Hybl of the El Pomar Foundation, Colorado Springs, Colo.
  • The NFIB/Joe & Gerry Hybl Young Entrepreneur Award, sponsored by Bill Hybl of the El Pomar Foundation, Colorado Springs, Colo.
  • The NFIB/Phyllis Kennedy Young Entrepreneur Award, sponsored by the Alabama Leadership Council.
