Nearly 150 small-business owners traveled to Columbus to make their voices heard on important business issues. |
Small-Business Day at the Capitol 2007 saw nearly 150 small-business owners from across the state come to Columbus to meet with lawmakers and make their voices heard on important issues that impact their business on a day-to-day basis.
NFIB/Ohio teamed with 13 other small-business associations to provide this opportunity for small-business owners to come together to address key issues such as death tax repeal/reduction, health insurance costs and options, and efforts to strengthen eminent domain laws to protect private property owners. Speaker of the House Jon Husted addressed attendees at a morning issue briefing session, and Senate President Bill Harris spoke during a luncheon with legislators that was held in the Statehouse Atrium. In all, more than 200 small-business owners, legislators and staff participated in the event.
GatesMcDonald, the Flag Lady’s Flag Store and Relay Gear are corporate sponsors of this year's Small-Business Day at the Capitol.
