COLUMBUS, Ohio -- William "Denny" Dennis, senior research fellow with the National Federation of Independent Business, and Michael A. Morrisey, Ph.D., professor of health economics and health insurance at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, provided testimony before the Ohio House Committee on Health Care Access and Affordability on April 5 to address effects of the current state of health care on small businesses.
Dennis also discussed results of a newly completed survey of small-business owners. The survey gauges the perceptions and opinions of small-business owners regarding what is working and not working with the health care system as well as the effects that proposed changes would have on their businesses.
