Millions of businesses and individuals now use the federal government's Electronic Federal Tax Payment System, or EFTPS, to pay their federal taxes electronically. By enrolling in the free online service and downloading the easy-to-use software, you control all your tax payments from your home or office. No more last-minute trips to the bank, standing in line at the post office or worrying that your check was lost in the mail.
