Make workers' and unemployment compensation laws fair, consistent, competitive with other states
NFIB members support reforms that help keep Pennsylvanians working, reduce costs, curtail fraud and are consistent and competitive with other states.
NFIB members support:
- Legislation to dismiss unemployment compensation claims when a claimant fails to show up for a hearing;
- Allowing unemployment compensation benefit offsets for severance, termination or separation pay; and
- Allowing self-employed to collect benefits when they become unemployed through no fault of their own.
