In July, a federal judge overruled Maryland's Fair Share Health Care law, which required large employers to pay for health insurance for employees. NFIB's Legal Foundation filed a brief arguing that the law should be overturned. The law would have paved the way toward requiring all businesses to provide health insurance, but it failed to address the high costs of insurance. Maryland's attorney general plans to appeal the district judge’s decision. The NFIB Legal Foundation will file a brief in the appeal.
