Point Given
09/ 20/ 2006

Do you have a lot of airline or hotel points piled up, but don't have time to use them on an exotic getaway? Many preferred travel programs allow you to donate your points to charitable organizations. Though donations aren't tax deductible, giving goes a long way. Most programs convert points into cash donations. Since frequent-flier airline tickets are notoriously hard to score (unless you're willing to take a red-eye flight on Tuesday), donating points is a good option for those with lots of points and no place to go. Contact your program for specifics.
