NFIB Targets Key Races
09/ 20/ 2006

As the battle for control of the U.S. Congress kicks into overdrive, NFIB SAFE (Save America's Free Enterprise) Trust, the organization's political action committee, will dedicate a significant amount of its resources supporting pro–small-business candidates in races around the country. These candidates will receive maximum support from SAFE Trust to help ensure that the voice of small business remains strong in the 110th Congress.

SAFE Trust-endorsed candidates will not only receive the maximum monetary contribution to their campaigns, but they will also gain strong grassroots activism and support from the organization. NFIB will publicly announce the organization's backing of targeted candidates with a press release or press event. In addition, NFIB will educate small-business owners on the most important business issues being debated in these races and where candidates stand. By communicating to the small-business community through mail, phone, radio, online and other outlets, NFIB will reach a wide audience in these critical areas to help get out the vote and compare the candidates' records on small-business issues.

The process in which races are selected is never based strictly on politics or party affiliation. The SAFE Trust and its supporters work to build and maintain a small-business legislative majority that serves all business owners.

NFIB members can download a complete list of SAFE Trust-endorsed candidates running in your state and around the country. Go to the "Endorsed Candidates" section of www.NFIB.com/politics, where you can also check voting records and learn more about the candidates in these competitive races.
