NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The National Federation of Independent Business, Tennessee's leading small-business advocacy group, today announced its endorsement of incumbent Judd Matheny in House District 47. Matheny has been a stalwart supporter of small business, registering an 83 percent NFIB Voting Record.
"Judd Matheny is a dependable vote for small business," NFIB/Tennessee State Director Gary Selvy said. "NFIB appreciates Representative Matheny for his support of small-business owners and their employees and for addressing their concerns. NFIB will work hard to make sure Judd Matheny is reelected."
NFIB's endorsement is a key one for Matheny. Small-business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members and acquaintances to go to the polls. NFIB has pledged to Matheny that it will activate its grassroots network on his behalf.
Matheny is a member of the House Commerce and State and Local committees, as well as the House Elections and Utilities and Banking subcommittees. House District 47 encompasses Coffee County and part of Warren County. The general election will be held Nov. 7.
NFIB's political support is based on the candidate's position and record on small-business issues. Judd Matheny's endorsement comes from the NFIB/Tennessee SAFE (Save America's Free Enterprise) Trust, the political action committee for NFIB/Tennessee's membership. The endorsement brings the considerable grassroots support of Tennessee's small-business owners to the Judd Matheny campaign.
