NFIB recently honored three more Young Entrepreneur Foundation scholarship winners: Loganville's Corey Monroe, Justin Gorski from Duluth and Jaz Dixon from Woodstock.

Gorski, shown here with NFIB's Raynor, attended Norcross High School and will enroll at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. Dixon, also shown with Raynor, accepted an NFIB/VISA USA Young Entrepreneur Award. He attended Etowah High School and will enroll at Georgia State University in Atlanta.

Monroe, Gorski and Dixon are three of seven Georgia recipients of the fourth annual NFIB Young Entrepreneur Awards, a scholarship program to set future small-business owners on the path to entrepreneurship. NFIB Young Entrepreneur Award recipients will attend the university, college, community college or vocational/technical institute of their choice with $1,000 in tuition assistance from the NFIB Young Entrepreneur Foundation.

The program made its debut in 2003 when it awarded a total of 110 scholarships nationwide. This year, NFIB's Young Entrepreneur Foundation awarded 408 scholarships, thanks to financial support from many small-business leaders like Dave Merenda, as well as corporate and foundation supporters. The major corporate sponsor is VISA USA, which donated $100,000 to the national program for scholarships across the country.
