Wenatchee Business Thrives in Quest for Survival When Paul Gray's father founded Gray's Electric back in 1932, the independent business venture was a matter of survival. The elder Gray had been working as an electrician/electric motor repairman when his employer went out of business, pinched by the 1929 economic collapse. As the repair shop closed its doors, its equipment fell to the senior Gray and another employee, who divided it and used it to each set up his own business.
