With his long-term backing of small-business issues, Arizona Rep. J.D. Hayworth hopes to receive the support of the small-business community in the upcoming election. Hayworth has championed investment tax cuts for small businesses, and is working to make permanent existing tax relief. The veteran congressman has sided with small business on a number of important pieces of legislation, voting with NFIB on all key votes this Congress. 

Challenging Hayworth in the race for Arizona's 5^th Congressional District is Harry Mitchell, a former Tempe mayor and Arizona Democratic Party chairman.
