Daniel started his business as a representative for a roofing materials manufacturer in Topeka, Kan., in 1970. Today, his Midway Sales and Distributing has 95 employees and five branch warehouses. He joined NFIB in 1993 and has served on the NFIB Leadership Council since 1997 and has been chair and vice chair. He has chaired the SAFE Trust committee since 2002 and contributes to candidates he knows will support NFIB and small business.
He has maintained close ties with the governor's office and was indirectly responsible for legislation exempting machinery and equipment from property tax. Kenneth and his wife have also sponsored NFIB Young Entrepreneur Scholarships.
