NFIB Recognizes Region Small-Business Champions
'Best of the best' activists honored at Summit closing dinner
WASHINGTON, D.C., June 20, 2006—Wouldn't it be great to have a magic wand, with the power to change those things that are wrong with the world? As it turns out, magic wands aren't real—but neither are they necessary. Five small-business owners recognized tonight as regional NFIB Small-Business Champions at the Small-Business Summit prove that old-fashioned hard work can improve the world around us just as well.
Each year, NFIB singles out a small-business owner in every state for special recognition and honors him or her with its prestigious Small-Business Champion award. This is the third year we have recognized small-business owners who go the extra mile for America's small enterprises.
"NFIB owes our success in state capitols and in Washington, D.C, to our member activists," said Todd Stottlemyer, NFIB president and CEO. "We're grateful for all of the hard work they do to help protect and promote our free-enterprise system. This is an opportunity to recognize our members who are truly the 'best of the best' advocates for NFIB and our members."
This year's regional Small-Business Champion winners:

Ken Daniel—Central Region
Brett Dungan—Southeast Region

Bud Fay—Northeast Region
Chuck Mott—West Region

Barbara Quandt—Midwest Region
