Job Reference Immunity
House Bill 4296, which would give an employer immunity from liability for providing an accurate depiction of an employees job performance has passed out of the House of Delegates. The bill must now pass Senate Judiciary in order to be considered by the entire Senate. As you may recall, this bill also passed out of the House last year only to die without receiving consideration in Senate Judiciary.
Your action needed: Contact your senator and ask them to support H.B. 4296. We ask that members of Senate Judiciary be contacted to encourage placement on the Judiciary Committee agenda.
