Who can sell this NFIB/IWIF Group Safety Plan?
Any insurance agent licensed in Maryland can sell this program once they have been appointed to write business with IWIF. NFIB, by contract, cannot be the agent of record on any of the policies placed in the NFIB/IWIF Group Safety Plan.

How does selling this NFIB/IWIF Group Safety Plan benefit the agent?

  • Agents will receive standard IWIF commissions.
  • Each agent owns his or her own business.
  • Clients get the same pricing for which they would otherwise qualify. In addition, they are eligible for dividends through the NFIB/IWIF Group Safety Plan.

How do I enroll clients in the NFIB/IWIF Group Safety Plan?
To enroll clients in the NFIB/IWIF Group Safety Plan:

If the client currently has a policy with IWIF, ask your underwriter to transfer the account into NFIB/IWIF workers' comp NFIB/IWIF Group Safety Plan.

To enroll a client in the group who does not currently have an IWIF workers' comp policy,

  1. Send in an Acord workers'-compensation application along with a cover letter requesting access to the NFIB/IWIF Group Safety Plan.
  2. IWIF will send you a proposal.
  3. At the time coverage is bound, nonmembers must join NFIB. Use the link to the right, or call the NFIB Member Care Center at (800) NFIB-NOW((800) 634-2669).
  4. New IWIF insureds can enroll in the NFIB/IWIF Group Safety Plan on their effective date. Existing IWIF clients can join the NFIB/IWIF Group Safety Plan on their renewal date.
