Employers with ten or more employees must post the OSHA Form 300A between Feb. 1 and April 30. The form summarizes an employer’s reportable injuries and illnesses for the prior year. Employers are subjected to this requirement even if they had no reportable injuries or illnesses in the prior year.
What to include on the form
- The total number of job-related injuries and illnesses that occurred the previous year and were logged in the OSHA 300 form
- The annual average number of employees and total hours worked during the calendar year
What the record shows
- That an injury or illness has occurred
- That the employer determined that the case is work-related
- That the case is non-minor
What to do with the form
- Display it unobstructed in a common area where notices to employees are usually placed
- A copy of the report must be made available to employees who move from worksite to worksite and to employees who do not report to any fixed establishment on a regular basis
