Quote of the week

Tuesday
NFIB/Michigan State Director Charlie Owens and Assistant State Director Keith Carey will attend a meeting of a coalition formed to support the House Single Business Tax cut currently stalled in the Senate. The coalition will be meeting with several senators, urging them to support the House plan. Your help is needed to get this small business tax cut moving in the Michigan Senate!
Owens and Carey will attend a meeting with state Sen. Tom George (R-Kalamazoo) featuring representatives of a coalition formed to support the House Single Business Tax.
Thursday
Midwest Region Political Director Kevin Hughes and Carey are scheduled to meet with the campaign staff of GOP gubernatorial candidate Dick DeVos (R-Ada) to discuss the DeVos candidacy.
Owens and Carey will meet with policymakers and key staff to make final preparations for the introduction of legislation to statutorily prohibit Michigan from developing and promulgating a state-specific ergonomics standard.
