OSHA is very pleased to announce the availability of following new OSHA compliance assistance tools that have been produced through the Alliance Program:
- Fireworks Retail Sales Operations Pocket Card
- Fireworks Display Site Operators Pocket Card
- Landscaping and Horticultural Services Safety and Health Topics Page
OSHA developed two Fireworks Safety Tips Pocket Cards with information provided through the OSHA and American Pyrotechnics Association Alliance.
The Fireworks Retail Sales Operations and Fireworks Display Site Operators Pocket Cards each contain 10 safety tips for employers and employees to help reduce exposure to fireworks hazards. The cards are posted on OSHA's Web site in the Publications section.
Created with input from OSHA and Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) Alliance, OSHA's Landscaping and Horticultural Services Safety and Health Topics Page provides information to help employers and employees address safety and health issues in the landscaping and horticultural industries. The Topics page organizes the industries into three segments: landscape design, landscape planting and construction, and lawn maintenance and tree care. It includes information on the most frequently cited OSHA standards and the standards that apply to each segment, the most common industry hazards and possible solutions to the hazards and resources for Spanish-speaking workers and youth workers in the industry.
