The Health Benefits Coalition is one of the largest employer-based health-care coalitions ever formed, representing more than 3 million employers providing health care coverage to more than 100 million employees and families.
The coalition was formed out of concern that federal health-care mandates proposed in Congress under the guise of "patient protections" would increase health-care costs for families and businesses, resulting in millions of Americans losing their health-care coverage.
HBC is opposed to big government mandates and believes affordable, quality health care can best be achieved through broader coverage, choice and competition in the marketplace.
