Frivolous Litigation Burdens Small Business
02/ 26/ 2003

The Atlantic Legal Foundation (ALF), a public-interest law firm representing the NFIB Legal Foundation in challenging EPA lead regulations, is looking for help in ensuring that any litigation or future regulations regarding toxic mold are based on sound science.

In the past several years, there has been a staggering increase in the number of legal cases filed regarding toxic mold. These cases, which involve plaintiffs alleging health problems resulting from the presence of indoor mold, could result in high damage awards for plaintiffs and rival the asbestos nightmare.

The ALF wants to make sure sound science is used in toxic mold litigation. To support ALF's effort to ensure sound science is used in toxic mold cases, call the ALF at 212.573.1960 or send a contribution to: Atlantic Legal Foundation, 150 East 42nd Street, New York, NY 10017.
