NFIB Responds to Security Requirements for Transporters of Hazardous Materials
05/21/2002
The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) is submitting comments concerning the NPRM of RIN 2137-AD66, "Hazardous Materials: Security Requirements for Offers and Transporters of Hazardous Materials," published in the Federal Register on May 2, 2002.
Based upon our regulatory analysis, NFIB estimates that this regulation will cost between $70 million and $145 million, depending upon whether a small firm must take a complete set of hazardous materials classes, or only a refresher set of classes to amend it's hazardous materials training program.
