When Money Isn't Enough: How Women Are Finding the Soul of Success, by Connie Glaser and Barbara Smalley (Warner Books, $12.95).
The authors focus on an especially timely subject: The importance of "soul" in the equation for "success." Glaser and Smalley have organized their material within three Sections: Looking for Success in All the Wrong Places; Rewards Beyond the Bottom Line: Tales of Women Who Are Redefining Success on Their Own Terms; and Finding Solutions for Work-Life Conflicts. In the final chapter, the authors observe: "As we head into the twenty-first century, clearly one of the greatest challenges women face is to find ways to excel at work yet still enjoy a fulfilling personal and family life....This book is filled with different scenarios for success, and yours will be different still. In fact, as you create your own game plan, one of the most important messages we hope to leave you with is that success is no longer one-size-fits-all. Rather, redefining success for the twenty-first century is all about the freedom -- and luxury -- to decide what success means to you."
