Futurize Your Enterprise, by David Siegel (John Wiley & Sons, $20).Siegel provides a sequential system (consisting of nine different "levels") which will enable any organization to "futurize" itself; that is, to prosper in the "Customer-Led Revolution" now underway, one which will result in at least 2 BILLION "connected" consumers by 2010. As Siegel observes, "We are on the first letter of the first word of the first sentence of global connectivity....If you can do 50 percent of what I describe in the first two parts of this book, you're dead. But if you can do 80 percent, you'll make it." Read and then re-read the book. Fully absorb and digest the information and suggestions provided. Then correlate what is most appropriate to your own organization's specific needs and interests.
